Today, Fortress Investment Group co-founder and Milwaukee Bucks co-owner Wes Edens announced the formation of a new eSports franchise, FlyQuest. With the assembly of a talented team to compete in North America League of Legends Championship Series (NA LCS), FlyQuest began its entry into the top levels of competition in eSports.
The new franchise intends to assemble multiple teams to compete across a variety of popular eSports games and global competitions under the FlyQuest brand. Leveraging the business and sports experience of Mr. Edens and his team, FlyQuest will bring an innovative approach and industry-leading practices to the development of partnerships, sponsorships, an engaged fan base and facilitate long-term growth.
“We are very excited to enter such a rapidly growing and immensely popular sport. FlyQuest intends to compete and win at the highest levels of eSports and quickly become an internationally respected organization,” said FlyQuest owner Wes Edens. “Starting with our very talented League of Legends roster, we’re beginning the process of building sustainable success. With a roster set, the first team assembled under the FlyQuest brand will begin to compete in NA LCS on January 20th. More information about the team’s upcoming schedule can be found at www.lolesports.com and fans will be able to watch through Lolesports, YouTube, and Twitch.

Wesley R. Edens is a Founder and Co-Chairman of the Board of Directors of Fortress Investment Group LLC. Fortress was founded in 1998 and is a $70 billion alternative asset management company with headquarters in New York and offices around the world. Mr. Edens is responsible for the Company’s private equity and publicly traded alternative investment business which invests primarily in Financial Services, Transportation and Infrastructure, and Healthcare.
