Apex Legends Pro Settings, Gear List, Top Players and Teams

Apex Legends is a trendy free-to-play FPS shooter game. Apex Legends is available for both console/PC play and mobile devices under the name ‘Apex Legends Mobile.’ The latter was extremely popular and well-received by gamers and critics alike.

Initially released for Windows, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One, the game was rereleased for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, and Nintendo Switch. The mobile version of this game was released in 2022 for both iOS and Android operating systems and continues to top the charts as one of the most downloaded games in its category.

Apex Legends also supports cross-platform play. Apex Legends had made over $2 billion in lifetime earnings for EA sports by May 2022.

Apex Legends is a battle royal game where players can choose between a duo or trio mode. The game supports 60 players per round, i.e., 20 three-players teams and 30 two-players teams.

The playing characters referred to as ‘Legends’ have distinct characteristics and special abilities that make this game stand out even more. The objective is to be the last team standing at the end of the round.

The game lore is based on the popular Titanfall series. Many of the characters appear in the game either as minor characters or a Legend that gamers can play with.

Apex Legends Game Modes

TrainingTraining, as the name suggests, is a mode designed for players to get familiar with the gameplay and warm up before the real event. It is more of a tutorial than a practice mode, designed to get players up to speed. A player would learn the game mechanics, use equipment, revive teammates, and Call in support.
Firing RangeFiring Range is another practice mode that players can try out in Apex Legends. The firing range is nothing new or exciting, as it is simply a range for players to try out new weapons. It is trendy among new players of the game.
Battle RoyaleBattle Royale is the most popular gaming mode of Apex Legends. The game starts with 60 players, divided into teams of twos or threes, and then battling it out with each other.

Many loot items can be found on the map and used to wipe out other teams. The last team standing at the end wins the round.

Players have the option to choose the map for their gameplay. Choose between Kings Canyon, Olympus, Storm Point, and World’s Edge.
ArenaArena is a round-based PvP mode in this popular game. It is a 3v3 player mode without any respawn. A team must get three wins with a lead of two to be declared victorious in the match.

The players accumulate points over the round to buy new and better weapons. So, it is crucial to start strong in the Arena mode.

This game mode is playable on these maps: Drop Off, Habitat 4, Phase Runner, Party Crasher, Overflow, and Encore.
Ranked Battle RoyaleRanked Battle Royale mode, as evident from the name, is pretty similar to Battle Royale. The only difference is that the playing is matched using a Ranking system.

Any player’s rank depends on how they perform in the game. The better way one in the round, the more competitive matches they would get in the pairing.

The ranking system is divided into Apex Predator, Master, Diamond, Platinum, Gold, Silver, and Bronze, with Bronze with the lowest of the lot.
Ranked ArenaRanked Arena is the ranked version of the Arena mode. Their ranking goes up and down depending on the team’s performance in a round, determining their next pairing. The ranking system in Ranked Arena is much less complicated than in Ranked Battle Royale.

Apex Legends Maps

Battle Royale Maps

  • King’s Canyon

King’s Canyon is the OG map for battle royale mode in Apex Legends. It is also extremely popular with most games on this map.

On the looks of it, it is a simple settlement, but it would immediately turn into a bloody battlefield within seconds of starting the round. It is an island with an airbase, research and development center, and water treatment plan in the enclosed area.

  • World’s Edge

Located on an uninhabitable planet Talos, World’s Edge is only inhabited by a small community of hunters that have abandoned the use of modern technology, although not completely. The heat-reducing towers in the game are a sight to behold.

  • Olympus

Olympus was a thriving city, a center for arts and science. However, an accident in one of its experimental facilities quickly forced the residents out of their settlement.

From deadly viruses to powerful vines, Olympus has seen everything. And with the abandoned structures makes it challenging for players to survive.

  • Storm Front

This deserted, once-beautiful paradise has plenty of resources for players to benefit from.

The tropical storm is also pretty standard on the island, which has only encouraged settlers to get out. Naturally, it is a perfect place for a battle royal, where not only the other players are a challenge, but so is the weather.

Arena Maps

  • Drop Off

The map is located in a tall building on Psamathe. The exposed rooftop, with the setting under the smoggy skies, only adds to its appeal. Since the battle area is comparatively smaller than huge battlefields, the game will have more combats.

  • Storm Point

Located in Habitat 4, one of the smallest islands in the New Antilla archipelago, this map is home to local Leviathans. The island was primarily a research and study center but has long been abandoned.

  • Encore

Based on the planet Boreas, this map would test every player. With one glimpse at the map, they would find the arena similar to the cursed outcast seer’s vision.

  • Overflow

The Hephaestus Station is used to mine magma flow on the planet Talos. It has no human presence, making it an ideal place for Apex Legends arena matches.

  • Party Crasher

Based in a city with questionable establishments, Party Crasher is owned by Mirage and used to pay off his debts. While no longer a downtown hub, the neon lights of the establishment do give this place an authentic appeal.

  • Phase Runner

Located on Olympus, the map is based on an area used to test hi-tech equipment. Plus, many prototypes are lying abandoned on the site, with many still in working condition.

Apex Legends Characters

It should be noted that every character has a unique skill set. These characters are called ‘Legends’ and are playable for both console and mobile games. Gamers need to unlock these Legends using Apex Coins and Legends Tokens.
