However, his mother has worked very hard to put food on the table and ensure that both JoeWo and his sister got the best childhood possible in such circumstances.
He isn’t married yet and hasn’t revealed any details about his dating life. Also, he has a dog named Bolt, seemingly a Barbet.
Other Interests
Apart from participating in professional gaming tournaments and creating gaming content, JoeWo has an avid interest in music. He loves to travel and attend concerts in various parts of North America, which is evident from his visit to the Wiz Khalifa concert held in Raleigh, North Carolina.
Moreover, he has a unique attraction towards several sports cars, such as the Lamborghini and Porsche, which he is frequently spotted with.
Gaming Origins
JoeWo grew up in an open-minded modern family that allowed him to indulge more in his hobbies, specifically gaming. He used to play games with his father, and at times, his sister used to fill in for his dad. However, his father’s health declined gradually, and he found himself gaming more extensively to escape from the reality of the situation.
Once his father passed away, his mother became the family’s sole earning member and carried all the responsibilities. Eventually, they moved to North Carolina when JoeWo was in second grade.
Since he couldn’t financially afford to sacrifice his education and take up gaming as a career, he resorted to gaming as a hobby. This habit helped him sharpen his gaming skills in silence.
After finishing high school, he got into the University of North Carolina in Wilmington. As his mother requested that he complete his studies, he focused on academics and graduated in April 2020 with impeccable results.
Upon graduating, he faced the option of applying to a graduate school for further studies. Nevertheless, he chose to pursue full-time content creation and gaming as his career.
Once he started gaming, there was no holding him back. He started streaming on Twitch and took part in various Warzone esports tournaments like NickMerc’s MFAM Warzone series. His exceptional gaming skills earned him invitations to numerous competitions in which he delivered astonishing performances.
In 2021, NRG Esports recognized his talent and signed JoeWo on 6th February, paving the way for the beginning of his professional career.
Professional Career
Unlike most gamers who start with lesser-known esports organizations, JoeWo started his professional gaming career with NRG Esports. Due to his fast-paced in-game movement, he is widely known as the “Movement King.”
Qualifying for 45 Warzone tournaments in a span of 3 years has allowed him to amass $139,000 in prize money. This figure might not be as rich compared to other gamers, but it’s noteworthy that JoeWo collected a significant percentage of this prize money before playing for a renowned esports company.
JoeWo is also known as NRG JoeWo and King JoeWo. He is a tremendously talented Call of Duty: Warzone player while primarily being a famous Twitch streamer and YouTube content creator. Due to his non-gaming origins and humility, he has successfully won the hearts of the youth all over the world.

Trivia
At the beginning of 2022, accusations that JoeWo resorts to hacking in Warzone resurfaced via a few clips from 2021. To retaliate and prove his innocence, he launched a supposedly “toxic” YouTube video, slamming everyone who accused him of cheating.
He was quoted saying – “I’m tired of being harassed over, and over, and over, on every video, every post, and every tweet.”
In addition, he mentions that it’s easy to accuse people of wrongdoings as it’s usually a tactic to instigate a reaction. However, he has spent sleepless nights working in his professional career, so such allegations impact him deeply.
