In March 2022, Derke tested positive for Covid-19, thus forcing him to temporarily pull out of the 2022 VCT Masters Reykjavík, Iceland, which was going to be held in April. Due to his absence, the team was forced to find a replacement, for which another player, Otom was considered.

Luckily, he got his test results back before the tournament and tested negative, allowing him to play and be safe from being benched.

In June 2020, Derke was benched into the inactive rosters of Kova esports as he chose to focus his attention on his studies. He received support from his peers and management.

Not to forget, Derke had tried out for gaming organization Immortals for Valorant before joining Fnatic but was unable to make it due to logistical reasons.
