How do MaTaFe Settings Support His Playing Style?
MaTaFe is an in-game-leader with his strategy revolving around rotations and positioning. Calculated aggression and mastery of specific techniques and legends are some of his other unique styles. However, all these matter little if his setup cannot support these techniques. Therefore, we’ll see how he sets up and how these settings aid his gaming pattern.
MaTaFe like most Apex players keeps their mouse’s Dot per Inch at 400 as against 800 found in most other games. His sensitivity is high at 2.5 so he can move swiftly; however, it is not the fastest as the low DPI helps to balance it. As a player who thrives on positioning, it is no surprise he uses a high ADS sensitivity multiplier of 1.28 which is perfect for his long-range weapons.
Before I share what his monitor settings are, keep in mind a few things. Matej thrives as an information gatherer and strategy developer, sometimes called in-game leader. Here are some of his interesting video settings with this out of the way. The display is in full-screen mode with an aspect ratio set at 16:9. Coupled with the decent field of view of 100, the images take up the whole screen and contain much information at once. Perfect for an information gatherer like MaTaFe.
There’s also a reason he keeps brightness at 75% and leaves sprint view shake at minimal. Fekonja needs a clear view of his screen with minimal distractions that may occur due to shaking during sprinting.
While he’s big on a clear view with 1920×1080 screen resolution proving this, he does not sacrifice performance for video clarity, as evidenced by the number of features he turns off/disables or keeps low. Features like NVIDIA reflex, vsync, antialiasing, texture filtering, and model detail have been toned down for performance to thrive.
When it comes to keybinds, he shows why he is a master of specific plays and legends. Mastering certain agendas and combinations means constant repetition, with the best way to achieve this being by setting comfortable key binds.
Some keys, like crouching, remain on the standard keybinds while he customizes many others, like jumping on the mouse wheel down. The ultimate ability key is also customized to suit his needs alongside other new additions.
Matej is known as an in-game leader (IGL) due to his leadership qualities and ability to provide helpful strategies even in high-pressure situations. Due to these characteristics, his game settings are tailored to serve a strategy leader, providing him with a clear and comprehensive view and ensuring he can aim from a long range.
