Envy Gaming, Inc., one of the most valuable esports organizations in the world and owner of esports teams including the Dallas Empire and Dallas Fuel, today announced a sponsorhip agreement with Frontier Communications, a national provider of high-speed internet, phone, and TV services.
Frontier will serve as the presenting sponsor of all five weekend events of live esports competition hosted by the Dallas Fuel in North Texas during the 2020 Overwatch League season, beginning with Dallas Fuel Opening Weekend presented by Frontier Communications on February 8-9, 2020. Frontier’s investment in the esports ecosystem comes as the communication leader has been ramping up availability of its gigabit Internet service in key markets throughout the U.S.
“Frontier Communications continually looks for innovative ways to showcase what our FiOS by Frontier high-speed Internet —with a 100 percent fiber optic network— looks like in real life. Providing the blazing-fast speed and performance of FiOS by Frontier to an organization that literally depends on high quality, fast Internet to compete at the top of their game is an ideal match,” said Jessica Sokolowski, Vice President of Marketing for Frontier Communications. “We’re excited to join with the Dallas Fuel as they put esports on the main stage at arenas around North Texas this year.”
As part of the deal, Frontier Communications has been named the preferred Internet service provider of Envy Gaming and its esports teams including the Dallas Empire, Dallas Fuel and Team Envy.
“Partnering with Frontier was an easy decision for us,” said Geoff Moore, president and COO at Envy Gaming. “Top-tier internet service you can rely on is the foundation of every good online gaming experience, and having Frontier Communications backing us at all 10 of our Dallas Fuel home games this season is a big step towards creating a world-class event not just for our team, but for the fans as well.”
Fans attending the launch of the 2020 Overwatch League season in Dallas will be able to pick up a commemorative event pin – featuring the Overwatch hero Tracer – from the Frontier Communications booth. Tickets to the Dallas Fuel Opening Weekend presented by Frontier, hosted at Esports Stadium Arlington, are available from $39 per day. For more information, visit DallasFuel.com.
