SK Gaming and HyperX Celebrate Ten-Year eSports Partnership

HyperX, a division of Kingston® Technology Company, Inc., and top eSports organization SK Gaming, who recently dominated the eSports Championship Series 2017, are celebrating a 10-year anniversary this year – one of the longest partnerships in eSports history. The epic milestone marks a significant anniversary for both organizations. Both have more reasons to celebrate, HyperX turns 15 years old and SK Gaming commemorates 20 years of competitive gaming.

“It is the blueprint of a mutually beneficial partnership. HyperX provides our players with high-quality memory and peripherals, and over the years we gave valuable input for the development of HyperX eSports gaming gear,” said Alexander Müller, SK Gaming’s managing director. “We were one of the first teams to be sponsored by HyperX. They not only have supplied us with high speed memory and SSDs, but now our teams proudly bring into action HyperX FPS Alloy keyboards and Fury S mousepads in the biggest tournaments around the world.”

After ten successful years together, both organizations have become synonymous brands within the eSports community, with both looking forward to the next decade of eSports excellence.

“Ten years is a major achievement in the gaming industry to be working together and we highly value the collaboration and passion SK Gaming continually brings to the table,” said Ben Malka, eSports and communities manager, HyperX EMEA. “We’ve been supporting each other since the early days of eSports and we look forward to continuing the relationship well into the future, while wishing them success for the remaining 2017 tournament schedule.”

“It takes a very special partnership to last 10 years in a fast-paced market such as eSports,” adds Müller. “HyperX and SK Gaming have been a perfect fit right from the start, and I am convinced that we will celebrate more anniversaries together.”
